Piti Piti Miles
I have not run much lately. The couch and I have an understanding. So the bar is now one mile a day, set on the floor, and we build the nest from there. Piti, piti, wazo fè nich li. Little by little, the bird builds its nest.
Why I am doing this: WORK helps families in Haiti and beyond climb out of poverty through good, dignified jobs. I am logging a mile a day so you can feel guilty enough to chip in. Pennies, dollars, whatever your couch can spare.
Give to WORK →Goal: 58 miles. One mile for each day.
The tracker
Tap a day to log it. Works with no account. Turn on sync below to use it on any device.
Shade gets darker as the miles go up. Green ring is today. Dashed days are still waiting for you.
Sync and share
Right now your log lives on this phone only. Turn on sync to see it on any device, and get a link friends can follow.
Free. No account. Only your mile counts are saved.
The nest rules
Three Mulligans. Life happens, and the Pittsburgh marathon taught me that. You get three skipped days. Mark them as Mulligans and the streak lives on. After that, the bird has to earn it.
Why bother
I am running for WORK, a nonprofit that accompanies families in Haiti and beyond out of poverty through good, dignified jobs.
In May I ran a 5K a day for them. My page for that team still shows $2,156 raised from 10 donations (as of Oct 4, 2026), and it is still open. This round, every mile is a reason to nudge the number up.
Give to WORK →Gifts go straight to WORK through its own giving page. Nothing is collected here. Many employers match gifts, so check your HR portal.
Questions
What counts as a mile?
Run, walk, hike, stroller push. Anything under your own power. Log honest miles, the bird knows.
What if I miss a day?
Use a Mulligan. Then lace up tomorrow. Nobody is checking, except possibly your calves.
Where is my data?
Without sync, only in this browser on this phone. With sync on, only your daily mile counts are saved online under a random private link. No name, no email, no location. Anyone holding the private link can edit, so keep it to yourself.
Can I join in?
Yes. Pick your own daily floor, share your miles, and point your friends at WORK.
